Dolomite Mountains
Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. is a tour operator, specialized in naturalistic destinations. Born in 2009, in the heart of the Dolomites from an idea of Agustina Lagos Marmol, who found in these places the same deep sense of belonging of her homeland: Patagonia. Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. organizes sports and adventure tourism, with the envolvement of local communities in full respect for the environment.
Trekking, hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking, skiing and snowshoeing have a very low environmental impact: CO2 emissions, in fact, are limited only to the transportation needed to get to the place, but Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. is already working to reduce and mitigate the impact. The Dolomites, Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, Lake Garda, Sardinia, are not the only destinations. They offer destinations off mass tourism circuits, to ensure long, diluted, balanced seasons. Plus, contacts and collaboration with the local community. Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. natural inclination and commitment to sustainable tourism has led it to support an existing forest in Alta Badia. Indeed, planting new forests is just as important as protecting existing ones. By adopting adult trees in Alta Badia, Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. contributes to the realization of interventions in the forests such as cleaning up forests in need of maintenance, arranging paths, installing information panels, preventing fires, landslides, and damage caused by storms such as those in Vaia. From the touristical perspective, creating thematic trails in the food forest, and forest bathing, as well as scientific-educational classes on nature, and the climate crisis.
