It is committed to ensure that the world’s forests meet the social, ecological and economic needs of the present generation, without compromising those of future ones. It promotes environmentally friendly, socially useful and economically sustainable forest management.

Luckily, there are now many companies that share FSC® values and contribute to the protection of nature using certified materials, from responsibly managed forests. Starting from this, and from the need to share positive examples, FSC® ITALIA AWARD – FURNITURE was born. The competition aims to recognize the commitment and contribution of these companies in spreading awareness and sustainable practices in one of the most iconic Italian industries, design. During the 2019 edition, on behalf of the participants to the competition, new trees have been planted in the FSC® certified forest of Val di Fiemme, one for every registered company.
