Würth MODYF, a company specializing in professional clothing and safety footwear, is based in Tramin in the province of Bolzano. As a textile company, we realize our responsibility towards the environment and the well-being of our employees. We believe in social responsibility, sustainability and the importance of human capital. Our goal is to improve the internal climate and at the same time raise awareness of environmental issues among our employees. Over the past year, we have included various projects with the aim of making sustainability a reality in everyday working life: Plastic free offices E-bike rental for employees to combine sustainability with a healthy lifestyle Internal awareness workshops In order to pursue and expand this virtuous path, in September 2021 we started a partnership with WOWnature, launching a project aimed at protecting and preserving the territory that hosts us.

Our office is located a few kilometers from Val di Fiemme, one of the valleys most affected by the 2018 Vaia storm that crashed hectares of forest. We print many catalogs each year for our customers and sales channels. It’s a popular service that we are happy to offer, but it has an impact on the environment. Relying on WOWnature, who like us loves and knows these places, we decided to plant 300 trees in the damaged forests of Val di Fiemme, which corresponds to the equivalent in weight of the kilograms of wood used to print our 2021/22 catalogs. The project also aims to make the new woods more resilient through the planting of different native species and to protect the woods through careful forest management. To raise awareness, involve and empower all Würth MODYF Italy employees, in the spring of 2022 we will organize a team building day during which we will plant fir, larch, Swiss stone pine, birch and other deciduous trees in the MODYF forest.
