YACademy
With 15 Pritzker laureates – the “Nobels” of architecture – on its faculty panel, YACademy is the world’s first postgraduate institute born out of the confrontation and collaboration of the most distinguished names in contemporary architecture. From the definition of programs to the delivery of teaching, every aspect is taken care of by the greatest architectural firms of our time. Thanks to the collaboration with professional realities of clear renown, YACademy qualifies as an ideal context in which to complete or update one’s skills and boost one’s career through the connection with the most important studios on the international scene.
YACademy is geared toward offering educational paths in which young people can measure themselves against the experience and testimony of some of the most distinguished signatures in design. Through an extensive course of lectures, accompanied by numerous moments of informal discussion and design review, the students are not only given the opportunity to enrich themselves with stimuli and suggestions, but also to personally get to know and work closely with the great masters of contemporary architecture.
Distinctive cipher of the YACademy courses is the possibility to develop a real project – from concept to realization – under the supervision of an established signature of architecture. Through the workshop, therefore, the trainees will not only have the opportunity to learn the processes and methodologies of their own workshop owner, but also the opportunity to enrich their curriculum and gain notoriety through the realization of interventions destined for great media echo, as they are developed for some of the most prestigious commissions in the world.
YACademy has embarked on Etifor’s MARC pathway, which involves measuring, reducing and offsetting emissions in order to achieve the climate positivity goal of absorbing 110 percent of the emissions generated by 2030.
As part of this project, YACademy supports WOWnature areas, contributing to the planting of new trees in the Isola Maria Luigia forest along the Po River in Italy. It also participates in the conservation and responsible forest management of Rincine Forest in the province of Florence and Huong Son in Vietnam.
