If the answer is yes, then we invite you to adopt a tree at Cinque Querce Forest, a new food forest just outside Siena, Tuscany. This is an innovative project that aims to recover a degraded area and transform it into a multifunctional land where fruits, herbs and other edible plants can be grown, but also enjoy the beauty and biodiversity of the landscape.
Don’t miss this opportunity! Adopt a tree at Cinque Querce Forest now and help us create a new food forest in Tuscany.
You can come and plant your tree in person on Saturday, November 18 at 10:30 a.m.

But what are the Five Oaks?
The five best-known oak species typical of the Sienese forests are: Turkey oak, oak, downy oak, English oak and holm oak. They have traditionally been used as an economic resource for the production of wood, charcoal, cork and acorns. However, in the last 15 years, the forest has been abandoned and subject to soil erosion and loss of biodiversity.
For this reason, the project involves forest improvement and the planting of native species, fruit trees and medicinal herbs. The result will be a food forest, or edible forest that mimics the functioning of natural ecosystems, creating an environment rich in diversity and species relationships.
