Bosco Delle Viole

Italy
Mansuè (TV)

A lowland forest nestled in the Treviso countryside that holds all the tree and shrub species typical of this area.

The Bosco delle Viole is a lowland forest nestled in the Treviso countryside that holds all the tree and shrub species typical of this area. It was born in the mid-1990s thanks to to the passion of agronomist and herbalist Gianfranco Marchetti. In the field of silviculture, this wood represents a model of environmental design, mentioned in educational texts. In addition, several forests in the Veneto region are inspired by Bosco delle Viole.

It is located in a farm area of about 30,000 square meters and is crossed by paths that allow to appreciate its species richness and beauty. Beehives are kept inside, and during the warm season thousands of bees carry out their fundamental pollination activity, collecting nectar, honeydew and, of course, producing honey. This forest is also a place of reconnection with nature and it is capable of giving regenerating experiences and well-being. It is a renown destination for school groups, families, enthusiasts of environmental and forestry topics, professionals, and farmers. We created various activities and workshops with the aim of stimulating sensitivity to the environment, increasing knowledge of nature and re-establishing contact with it in order to live in harmony.
