A baby, we all know, is quite different from a teenager, a 20-year-old, and an adult. Just like human beings, woods of different ages have different features. If you want to find out what’s the difference between younger and older woods, hop on your bike, and start discovering the beautiful trails of the Venetian coast!
Starting from San Stino di Livenza, you can look at the Trieste and Triestina woods, basically two babies. They have different needs from food and diapers, but they need all our love. Heading toward Meolo, you will encounter the Belvedere wood, almost 20 years old. Did you known that even teenage woods listen to loud rock music? Don’t worry though, teenage rebellion is now over. You can wander around its oaks and hornbeams in peace. In fact, you will find an ideal place to relax and forget about everything else. Finally, you can go as far as Bosco Canoro in San Michele al Tagliamento, or a little further on, to Bosco Baseleghe in Bibione: these are two woods that are now past 30 years old… In fact, when they get up from the couch you can hear them moaning, just like your laziest friends.
This forest is part of the Lowland Forest Association.
